Visual Arts

At Berkwood Hedge School the visual arts are integrated into the curriculum at every grade level. Classes meet with an art specialist once a week to explore a variety of media and artistic styles. The middle school art curriculum focuses on building skill and deepening personal connection to the visual arts. We explore drawing, printmaking, painting, book-making, photography and ceramics, learning new techniques and coming up with self-directed imagery. We culminate the year with an art show with a personal statement by each artist.
