David Lopez-White, Middle School Music Teacher

 David Lopez-White grew up in the Chicago area, and has resided in Berkeley since 2006. He started teaching music while studying classical and jazz guitar. After numerous projects focused on world music genres, and continual study with a long list of master musicians, he emerged as a multi-instrumentalist, with a deep knowledge of music theory. 

David taught at Ex’pression College in Emeryville for over a decade, expanding into digital media production, instructional design, and eventually learning and practicing human centered/user experience (ux) design principles. As an instructor, David also created and taught original workshops at SFJAZZ, including co-leading an after school music program partnership for High School students in San Francisco. He holds a degree in Political Science, and a certificate in UX Design.
