Joe Stern, Latin Teacher K-8

Joe Stern grew up in New York and has worked in education for over a decade. Most recently, he taught Latin at Lynnfield High School in Massachusetts. Prior to that position, he worked in a variety of educational settings, including with the nonprofit Prep for Prep and as a Latin instructor at UMass Amherst. He received his BA in History from Middlebury College and his MAT in Latin and Classical Humanities from UMass Amherst. 

Joe has had a lifelong passion for language, mythology, and history, and loves exploring the ancient Greco-Roman world with his students. As a language teacher, he aims to create immersive, joyful experiences in the classroom. He also loves to integrate mindfulness and social-emotional learning into his teaching.
