Applications for K-8th Grade for the 2023 - 2024 school will be available October 1, 2022

Choosing a private education for your child is a very important decision and sometimes can present challenges. There are many aspects to consider. Attending an Open House and/or Touring our campus is an important part of the decision making process. As you experience the daily life going on around you, you will get a sense of what Berkwood Hedge School is all about. While you are here, you will meet other parents and you will experience the Berkwood Hedge School community and get a sense of whether this is the right place for your child and your family.

TOUR DATES

On-Campus tours will take place on the Lower School Campus (grades K-4) Tuesday and Wednesday and on our Middle School Campus (grades 5-8) Mondays and Thursdays at 9am and 11am. Registration is required.

EVENTS DATES

Open House- 9:00am - 11:00am (K-5 Lower Campus), 1:00pm - 3:00pm (6-8 Middle School Hill Campus)

Saturdays, October 29th and December 10th

At our Open House parents can see presentations of every subject across all grades at various stations all over campus- maps will be provided! Free childcare will be provided.

PEN (Prospective and New Families): Sheri Glucoft Wong- Positive Communication and Setting Boundaries September 29, 2022, 6:30pm - 8:00pm (Hill Campus)

It is our childrens’ job to wonder what happens when they follow their impulses or try out different behaviors, and it’s our job as parents to give them clear responses. Sometimes the response is to encourage them, and other times they may need us to set limits. Sheri Glucoft Wong, LCSW, author of “Raising Kids: Your Essential Guide To Everyday Parenting”, will join us to offer perspective and tools to help parents set limits that are both clear and loving.

Parent Soups On

November 10, 2023, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Hosted by Office Admission in conjunction with a parent volunteer. We will have 2-3 soups, alumni parent, current parents, wine, introductions, and stories (parent to parent). Event will take place outdoors on a yard- dress for cool Bay Area Evenings!

African Drumming and Dancing at Berkwood Hedge School!

November 5, 2023, 10:00am - 12:00pm

Join us for a morning of Drumming and Dancing along with other Berkwood Hedge School community members- Rain or Shine! Drumming instructor, Pope Flyne along with our Middle School team and Dance Teacher, Kim Agnew will lead us in a fun and live dance lesson.

PEN (Prospective and New Families): Growing Your Child- Experiential Workshop (prospective families only) facilitated by Love Weinstock (MS Campus- Chapel) followed by Alumni Panel- Meet Our Alumni!

Saturday, February 11, 2023 10:00am - 12:00pm (Hill Campus)

This experiential workshop facilitated by our Head of School, Love Weinstock, offers prospective parents a holistic and intentional introspection into who your child is and your hopes for your child. Following the workshop, prospective families will get the opportunity to meet a panel of our alumni for a Q&A session.
