hiring. James for the fifth grade fire class and I'm Sarah Benjamin and I am the other fifth grade Khalid teacher for the 5th grade we are so excited about this year's Fire cost our students study power as one of their main theme red throughout everything they do we talk about power in the humanities and the term what is my power is an individual who am I what makes me means you can create their own maps of their self their Community an atlas project they also study fumes throughout US history and the waves. Power has its own shapes and have been developed to control who has power and who does not and we studied various themes of social justice as well and then on the math and science side of things in science we explore the theme of power through a project on simple machines where students learn all about a simple machines work and then have the opportunity to build their own and we also in the fifth grade do a performance for the second half of we spend a lot of time thinking about our power as performers and Power in that regard and all of those all of the performance themes are also things that we are teaching and learning about in the classroom through show me the history we are so excited to meet you and to see you hopefully on a tour or a parent-teacher conference to thank you
