Stephen is an accounting and auditing professional with over 15 years of experience in government and corporate auditing, and not-for-profit accounting. Prior to coming to Berkwood Hedge School, his experience included working for an elected official in Oakland as the city’s Assistant City Auditor. Stephen is also a former independent school teacher. He taught middle school history at Charlotte Country Day School (North Carolina), and developed and taught the Advanced Placement macro and microeconomics curriculum at The Bishop’s School (La Jolla, California). He currently teaches Accounting and Auditing part-time at different Bay Area universities. Stephen possesses certifications as a Certified Public Accountant and as a Management Accountant. He holds a BA from the University of Dayton (Ohio), a MBA from Webster University (Missouri) and Master of Science in Forensic Accounting from New England College (New Hampshire).
