Lower School Office and Operations Manager

Lauren will be overseeing the front office and operations on the Lower Campus. Having grown up in and around the Bay Area, she graduated during the pandemic with her B.A. in human development with a focus in early childhood development at California State University, East Bay. Just before the stay at home order in March 2020, she was enjoying working as a literacy intervention tutor with Reading Partners at Bella Vista Elementary School in Oakland. Curious with how the pandemic might affect school-aged children, she wrote her thesis on communication in young children during this time. Just two months after finishing her degree, she was hired as the campus health assistant at Black Pine Circle School, assisting the school nurse with COVID-19 testing and ensuring COVID-19 policies aligned with state and local guidance. Lauren's role eventually evolved into BPC's campus health coordinator. Keeping students and staff healthy and safe became her top priority, and her experience in this role has reinforced her love of working in schools.

In her personal time, Lauren enjoys playing and listening to music, hikes with her dog Homer, backpacking trips, mountain biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, and helping her partner with photo and video projects.
