Fifth Grade (FIRE Class) Co-Lead Teacher/ Hill Campus ASP

Sarah Benjamin received her B.A. in Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing at the University of California Santa Cruz before moving on to earn her master’s degree in Poetry from Saint Mary’s College. Because both her parents are teachers, Sarah always knew it was something she loved to do. Sarah is passionate about developing lifelong learners & working to instill a love for learning in each of her students. 

Sarah spent the last two years as a lead teacher at a charter school in the Bay Area, and through this experience, fell in love with being in the classroom. Sarah has a passion for the natural world, especially through eco-poetics & spending time outdoors, making Berkwood Hedge feel like a perfect fit.
