Trustee

Dr. Dan Glass is in his seventh year as Head of School at The Brandeis School of San Francisco. He previously held leadership roles at Wildwood School in Los Angeles and The Girls' Middle School in Palo Alto. Dr. Glass has written extensively on progressive education, Jewish spirituality and ethics, and contemporary poetry. He holds a Ph.D. and B.A. in English, has published four collections of poetry, and has taught children and adults of all ages in subjects ranging from Ethics and Design to Poetics and Rap Music. A Berkeley native, he attended Berkwood Hedge School for Kindergarten, his older sister attended through second grade, and his father was a volunteer custodian/painter for the school in those years.
