Alison Hall Maring

Alison was first introduced to Berkwood Hedge School by her husband, Ben, a Berkwood Hedge alumni. She is the mother of two, Luna and Maxwell, and watched Luna thrive her first year as a member of the SPIRIT kindergarten class. Alison earned her BA in English from UC Berkeley and spent nearly a decade in New York, working as a magazine editor for publications like ELLE Decor and Domino before becoming the Editorial Director for the e-commerce company One Kings Lane. She’s the founder of the consulting firm AHM studios, specializing in communication and brand marketing strategy. In her spare time she loves reading, taking dance classes, and hiking in the Oakland hills. Alison is so grateful for the opportunity to serve on the board and deepen her connection to the school’s incredible community of parents, staff, and students.
