Diversity & Inclusion

We prepare our students for the challenges and opportunities of living in a diverse society.

Our school community includes students and families from many diverse backgrounds. Through community events and professional development, we foster awareness, courage, empathy, and compassion in parents, teachers and staff, so that we can teach our children to become voices for positive change in the world.

  • We ensure that each and every member of the school community feels safe and respected for who they are and that each has a voice in the school environment.

  • We learn from each other as we share and listen to one another, examining and understanding the interconnectedness that bonds us together.

  • We foster awareness, courage, empathy, and compassion in parents, teachers and staff, so that we can teach our children to become voices for positive change in the world.

  • We recruit and retain diverse staff and families, and integrate social justice curriculum across the grades.

PARENT PROGRAMS

Diversity Dialogues

Our Diversity Dialogues take place throughout the school year and are designed for parents and guardians. We encourage open and honest communication, and generate new ideas, approaches and solutions to complex problems. Our goal is to create a space for all voices to be heard, and also to allow those voices that have been historically underrepresented or excluded to be elevated. We know that when we feel valued, included, and a sense of belonging, our overall well-being improves. Therefore, our dialogues are designed to help create a more inclusive and equitable school community where everyone can thrive.
