Fall Events for Food Justice

City Slicker Farms is a non-profit, working urban farm in West Oakland dedicated to food justice and food access.  We have a couple great events coming right up:

Fall Family Day – City Slicker Farms: Saturday, October 30 2-5pm.  Join us for a frighteningly fun family day on the Farm! Our first annual Fall Family Day features:
  • Pumpkin painting
  • “Haunted” Farm tour
  • “Creepy” Kids Story Time hosted by the West Oakland Library
  • Help design the new Children’s Garden!
Autumn's Eve at the Farm Park: Saturday, November 6th, from 4-7pm.  Please note this fundraiser is 21+

At the dinner there will be:

·  delicious, locally made food and drink

·  live jazz from Terrence Brewer's ensemble from the Oakland Public Conservatory of Music

·  silent auction

·  farm tours

·  inspiring updates from CSF board and community members

We are planning this as a COVID-safe event with each party seated outdoors and at least 6 feet apart with their own basket meal and drinks to enjoy in the open air.  If you'd like to come learn more about what's been going on and support this wonderful organization and enjoy a fun afternoon at the farm park, you can purchase tickets here. I would love to see you there!

If anybody is interested in learning more about City Slicker Farms and maybe getting involved, please let me know because that would be awesome!

Thank you so much!
