Hill Campus 5-8 Art Teacher

Born and raised in New York, Laura is an artist, illustrator and, in a previous life, was an entrepreneurial jewelry designer specializing in alternative metals with a focus on nature and sustainability. Her creations have been showcased in museum stores, such as SFMoMa, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, as well as gallery shops across the United States and abroad. She holds a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and a graduate certificate in Early Childhood Education. For the last few years, she has focused on teaching young aspiring artists. These days, Laura enjoys life in the East Bay with her husband, daughter, and a very friendly orange cat named Herbert.
