Fosterer or Adopter Needed for Sweet Dog

Georgia was a stray found running down a busy road and leapt into the arms of a person to stop and rescue her.

Her demeanor: she has puppy energy to play and hike but can settle and snuggle as well.  She is definitely part boxer and uses her paws to play with, gently with humans, less so with toys!  She seems about a year old and is about 30 pounds (and needs a little beefing up).  She seems to have been trained and loved by her previous owners; she knows commands like sit and even shake!  She's spent some time with our family and doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body.  She was exposed to our two dogs, our cat, and our 11-year-old  kids, and was lovely and respectful with all.  She played with the dogs and also listened and was submissive when they gave her messages that they didn't want to engage.  She also gave one of our dogs the message that she didn't want to share her food, but it was in an appropriate way.  She is smart, responsive, and quick to learn.  We have housetrained her, but she might need reminders in a new environment. We are fortunate to have a backdoor that can stay open and that has helped.  In the past few weeks since we took her from the shelter, she has really blossomed.   She wants to be near people and sleep close by.  She is human love-driven and would do well in any home with affection and exercise.  Because she's on the younger side, ideally she would be with people who can give her time and attention as she gets used to her new situation.
