New In-Person Live Music Ensemble Classes for ages 6-18 near at Musically Minded Academy @ St. Peter’s Church, 6013 Lawton Ave, Oakland. Taught by local Luminaries: Dr. Ondine Young, Mr. Ben Green, and Mr. Rich Armstrong.
Ancient Airs/New Notes (9am-11am): Inspired by practices/repertoire from classical music periods and stemming out to student-selected repertoire from any time period.
Basics, Blues, and Beyond (11am-1pm): For budding through highly skilled musicians to play in instrumental ensembles. The curriculum for each hour is rooted in music practices and repertoire from jazz, pop, and rock.
